Handcrafted from the moisturizing milk produced by our small herd of Alpine Dairy Goats, Lucy's Soap is both beautiful and soothing to your skin.
What is Milling?
Milling is one of the features that really sets Lucy's Soap apart - even from other handmade soaps. Milling refers to melting the soap at least twice. After curing for at least 4 weeks, the initial batch of soap is grated into small pieces and put back on the stove for a second melt. The benefit to our customers of taking the time to going through this extra step is that their soaps last longer and hold its scent longer.
Once the soap is melted for the second time, the essential oil or special fragrance oil is added. The warm soap is then poured into our intricately designed molds and placed in the freezer to set up. Next, it is gently removed from the molds and placed on special racks to dry. Thus, these beautiful soaps take at least 6 weeks to make!
Available in hand and bath bar sizes as well as a vast array of unique designs great for gift giving.
